From 4-5:30pm in the Gretna Public Library Meeting Room
Enjoy some friendly competition with the Wii, board games, and cards! Bring a friend! Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Must be 1-5 pages in length (12 point font, double spaced). If the story is handwritten, it must be legible.
Must be in grades 6-12.
Stories will be judged based on the following:
What innovative, creative way can you tell your story? This includes the content and development.
Push your writing beyond the obvious scare tactics. Build some suspense and see if you can raise goose bumps on your terrified reader!
Clarity will include organization (flow) and mechanics (spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization), so please have another person proofread your work.
Please include: your first and last name, phone number & grade.
Who: Those in grades 6-12.
What: Friendly competition with board games, cards, and the Wii. This month one of our regulars is bringing karaoke machine!
When: Friday, May 18th from 3:30-5pm.
Where: Gretna Public Library meeting room.
What: Compete with others in various forms of games. We play the Wii, board games, cards, and more! (You are welcome to bring in your own appropriate games from home).

Why: Test your skills! Have fun! Compete with friends, classmates, and other new faces!
Our monthly Teen Gaming event will take place at the City Hall basement on January 27th from 3:30-5pm. We play the Wii, board games, charades, and cards. You are welcome to invite friends and to bring in your own games from home.
Free snacks & refreshments.
Submissions will be accepted at the Gretna Public Library: January 13th – February 3rd.
Only one submission per person.
1 Participants must be in grades 6-12.
2 Must be original visual work.

Please include contact information on the back or underneath of your creation to keep privacy and decrease the chance of confusion. The typed description will be publicly displayed next to your work.
Judging will be done by the members of the Gretna Friends of the Library based upon the following criteria with equal weight:
Three winners will be chosen and awarded with Hobby Lobby gift cards! The final winners will be announced on February 13th. Winners will be contacted via the telephone number provided.
Artwork will be displayed in the Gretna Public Library until February 14th and may then be picked up by the artist. Please keep in mind that creations will be viewable to all members of the community.
