Join us on September 30th @ 4pm at the Gretna Public Library. The only requirements are:

1. You must register before by calling 332-4480 or stop in.

2. Bring a 100% cotton shirt.

All other supplies will be provided! This is a free event for those in grades 6-12.

Teen Gaming! Sept. 24th

What: We play an array of board games and the Wii!

Where: Basement of City Hall

Invite friends/classmates & bring in games from home!

It’s time to discuss what we will be doing for 2010 and 2011!! Join us at the Gretna Public Library on Tuesday, September 14th (4pm) to brainstorm ideas for upcoming events and programs! Your input makes a world of difference here! To keep those minds charged, we will have free snacks and refreshments! Typically, Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.) meetings run from 45 minutes to an hour. We have much to do this meeting, including a hands-on project.

The book sale will be held until Saturday, August 28th.

We will pick up with our events and programs starting in September. Our first meeting will be for the Teen Advisory Board on Tuesday, Sept. 14th. I will post more information closer to the date. I’m proud and pleased with all the success during our Summer Reading Program. Way to go! Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Teen/Volunteer Party!

What: Food, games, raffle & prizes, piñata, & fun!

Who: Those who volunteered or participated in the Teen Summer Reading Program

When: Thursday, July 29^th @ 5:30pm

Where: Gretna Public Library

Why: To celebrate all the successes of our reading goals and events! We have sent books & school supplies to Africa, water colored, enjoyed a scuba presentation, and viewed a movie. Not to mention, our book discussions! We read and reviewed the books: Nurk by Ursula Vernon & Dark Waters by: Catherine MacPhail.

Splendid work and involvement everyone!
