Come learn about native Nebraskan snakes with the Papio-Missouri River NRD! They will be bringing some of these misjudged reptiles and will be dispelling some of the common myths about snakes.

Summer Reading Program Registration

Reading logs will be available for pick up the first day of program – June 10.

How to Participate:

-Sign up and log the amount you read each week from June 10th through July 27th. Bring your reading log into the library and you will receive an entry to win a prize basket at the end of the summer. Each week you will also get a prize from a local business!

-Attend special events- like book club meetings, crafting, or movie days- for additional entries for prize baskets

-All participants are welcome to attend an end of the summer Send Off Party!

Earth Day Craft & Accessory Exchange- Monday 4/22

Celebrate Earth Day at the Library!

We’ll be transplanting an aloe vera plant into containers of your own design. Everyone will get to take a plant home!

Bring a few accessories that you have grown tired of, like jewelry, bags, or hats, to trade with others! What is old for you can be a new piece for someone else.

Messy Masterpieces!

Don’t forget the volunteer opportunity coming up! Help Miss Jean with a fun and creative event for younger readers on Thursday, April 18th.

The event is from 6:30-7:30pm; please be at the City Hall by 6pm to help set up. The time will be spent helping children make art using paint, glue, and colored shaving cream, so please dress for a mess! Thanks and see you soon!
