Stop in at the Main Branch to register and receive your free T-shirt and book bag to kick start our 2012 Summer Reading Program! We have plenty of fun, learning, reading, and more lined up for you! Registration for those in grades 6-12 has begun! Stop in!

Astronomy Night!

The Omaha Astronomical Society will be sharing their knowledge, telescopes, and time with us to learn about the sky. *2 tickets earned for attending. 5th graders welcome.

Meet at the Main Branch @ 9pm for a discussion followed by the use of telescopes as the darkness sets in!

Teen Tie-Dying!

Join us at the Gretna Public Library Main Branch for some tie-dying fun! Bring a white cotton shirt, the rest of the supplies will be here for you. Please register by calling 402-332-4480 or stop in by Wednesday, June 13th. *1 ticket earned for attending. Be aware that staining of clothes may occur, so dress accordingly.

What: Friendly competition with board games, cards, and the Wii. This month one of our regulars is bringing karaoke machine!

Weaving and the Loom

Join us at the Gretna Public Library meeting room on Tuesday, May 15th @ 3:30pm. There will be a demonstration and information shared by Tonya of Tonya’s Cute by Design business. We’ll see the loom in action and learn the history of some crafty ways to use fabric and more! (Q & A session near the end). Free event for those in grades 6-12.

Teen Advisory Board meeting is happening on Tuesday, May 8th @ 4pm. We will discuss upcoming events, the Summer Reading Program, a possible logo for our T.A.B. group and more! Feel free to bring logo designs if you come up with one prior to our meeting. You are welcome to bring friends/classmates. Snacks & refreshments for those who join us.

Earth Day(2 days early)@ Your Library!

Who: Those in grades 6-12.

What: Join us to participate in several Earth friendly activities! We’ll also sample some organic foods. Free event.

Where: At the Gretna Public Main Library.

Why: Celebrate the Earth!
