Summer Reading Program Registration

Reading logs will be available for pick up the first day of program – June 10.

 

 

How to Participate:

-Sign up and log the amount you read each week from June 10th through July 27th.  Bring your reading log into the library and you will receive an entry to win a prize basket at the end of the summer.  Each week you will also get a prize from a local business!

-Attend special events- like book club meetings, crafting, or movie days- for additional entries for prize baskets

-All participants are welcome to attend an end of the summer Send Off Party!

 

Babysitting Course

Who: Those in grades 6-12.

What:  A representative of the American Red Cross will be at the Gretna Public Library to conduct a babysitting course.  Upon completion you will be certified in Infant/Child CPR and Babysitter Training.

When: Saturday, October 13th from 10am-4:30pm.

Where: Gretna Public Library Meeting Room.

Cost: $95.00 (Please make checks payable to the American Red Cross).

Be sure to register in person at the Gretna Public Library with payment.  Space is limited.

Checks must be made out the American Red Cross.

The payment covers all of the materials used during the class session.

Don’t forget to bring a lunch!

Stop in at the Main Branch to register and receive your free T-shirt and book bag to kick start our 2012 Summer Reading Program!  We have plenty of fun,  learning, reading, and more lined up for you! Registration for those in grades 6-12 has begun!  Stop in!

Summer Reading Program details:

The Teen Summer Reading Program is for those in grades 6-12 and is entirely free!  Planned for you are special events, book club discussions, and much more.  The more you read and participate, the more entries you receive for the prize drawing that takes place at the end of the summer party! 

 Every participant receives prizes throughout the summer for completing reading goals.
