We now offer fuller, more secure online access to your account information! All you have to do is click on Search Catalog on the library's home page or another page. This will take you to a screen where you click on the hyperlink "Gretna Public Library." You will notice that the catalog has some great new features. You may search the catalog simply by using keywords and hitting enter. Or, if you like, you can get a bit more precise or complex with a power search. Whenever you see book art, you may be able to access additional information by clicking on the cover. Also, you can login to your account, where you can view your check-outs, holds, and fines. You can even place holds and renew books if they are not overdue. If you place a hold and the system tells you it is "ready," the item should be ready for pick-up by 10:30 AM on the next day we are open. Or else the system will tell you that your hold is pending, and we will call you when the book is ready for you. PLEASE NOTE THAT BEFORE YOU USE THE NEW SYSTEM ONLINE YOU NEED TO FURNISH US WITH A USER ID AND PASSWORD. The user id and password may be anything you like.
