Tales from Hans Christian Andersen
By Lisa Kramme. The delightful stories of Hans Christian Andersen are brought to life in the imaginations of audience members as Lisa Kramme shares tales by this great Danish author. Listeners also learn about the life of Andersen, including his early struggles and later successes. The third time is the charm--this program has been postponed twice! Appropriate for ages 8 to 100.

Our electronic databases and thousands of e-books are wonderful research tools. For example, we have a multitude of e-books on computer, web, and programming topics. These are all available on-line with recent dates of publication. (We would never have the shelf space or money to keep current in this area in any other way.) And our databases can yield a sometimes astounding amount of quality information that you won't find by GOOGLING. If you need to research a particular topic, you are likely to find information in Wilson Omnifile or eLibrary. If you are into genealogy, try HeritageQuest. There are even databases for those simply looking for another good book to read!
Our purpose for adult programming basically comes down to
this: it should enrich your life in some way. Obviously, this
leaves the door open for a dizzying variety of programming. For
example, programming may include such items as dramatic, musical,
or film entertainment, a poetry reading, a demonstration on how
to build a computer, a talk about wills or investing, a health
fair, computer classes, or almost anything else that furthers the
enrichment of our adult patrons lives through entertainment,
reading, and life-long learning. Please feel free at any time to
communicate your interests in Adult programming to Todd (our
Adult Services Librarian and Assistant Library Director) in
person, by phone, or via e-mail.
